Product Description

Imagine a World Where We Remember How to Be With Each Other

In a world that often prizes speed over presence, productivity over connection, and performance over truth, The Fire Between Us dares to bring us back to what really matters; being seen, felt, and known.

Imagine sitting across from someone, your lover, your best friend, or even a stranger, and feeling safe enough to say the thing you’ve never said aloud. To speak from your heart and laugh like your ribs might crack open. To let both your softness and your shadow both take up space.

The vision behind this deck is that it is a key to a more embodied future. A future where we normalize integration. Where people can speak of their grief, joy, desire, and the stories we carry in our bodies. A future where conversations don’t skim the surface but spiral deeper, gently unlocking the parts of us that ache to be heard.

Each card is a permission slip. To touch aliveness between people. To awaken emotional intimacy in partnerships, nourish authenticity in communities, and bridge the gaps between strangers through presence.

This project was born from the belief that we are ready. Ready to meet each other in the raw, the sacred, the real. Ready to reweave the web of connection.

Join us. Let’s build a world where connection is currency, intimacy is honored, and the fire between us keeps us warm, awake, and wildly human.

Our Quest for the Perfect Connection Game

It began on the road. Early in our relationship, Danny and I spent a lot of time driving. There were long roads, changing landscapes, gas-station breaks, playlists we played until we knew every transition and hours with nowhere else to be. Somewhere along the way, questions became part of how we traveled. We asked each other about childhood. About love and fear. About the lives we thought we would have, the things we were still learning to name, and the parts of ourselves we did not usually bring into the light. Sometimes a question carried us across an entire state. Sometimes the answer changed the atmosphere in the car. Sometimes we sat silently afterward, watching the road move beneath us, feeling as though we had just met each other again.

WE KEPT LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT DECK. We played nearly every conversation deck we could find. We loved the permission they gave us to ask questions we might not have thought to ask on our own. But again and again, we found ourselves wanting something that was not there. Some decks stayed safely on the surface. Others asked for immediate vulnerability before either person had time to arrive. A few opened something deep and then simply moved on to the next card. What we wanted was an arc. We wanted a deck that understood that intimacy is not a performance and depth cannot be forced. The nervous system needs time to soften. Two people need a chance to arrive, to notice one another, and to feel safe enough for the more honest layers to emerge. We wanted to begin gently. Then move toward the stories beneath the stories: our patterns, protections, desires, contradictions, and shadows. And after going there, we wanted a way back, not an abrupt ending, but a return to the body. We could not find that deck.

THEN CAME PARIS. One day, Danny said he wanted us to create the card deck we would actually love playing; not once, but over and over as we changed. The idea stayed with me. Not long afterward, I was in Paris for work where I dreamed about the deck. (yes, I quite literally had a dream about the deck) I woke up knowing I had to get to work, the cards wanted to be born. I began creating it there, in Paris, at a café called Boris Lumé.

THE DECK WE HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR. The Fire Between Us was born from our story, but it was never meant to be only about us. It is for anyone who has looked at someone they love and sensed there was still more to discover. For the new couple with miles of questions ahead of them. For the long-term partners who know each other's routines by heart, but want to become curious again. For the people who can feel something true between them, and want a way to meet it with more courage, care, and presence. You do not need to be naturally vulnerable. You only need somewhere to start.

We wanted it. So we made it.

WHY THE FOUR LEVELS MATTER. Each level serves a different part of the journey. The first helps you arrive. The next invites play and boldness. The deepest layer (Level 3) makes room for shadow, vulnerability and the truths that take courage. The final level (integration) brings the experience back into the body through embodied prompts, so insight does not remain only an idea, and connection does not end when the conversation does.

We wanted to make an arc that felt intentional and conscious.

This is the rhythm we were looking for on all those early road trips: curiosity before exposure, attunement before depth, and integration after revelation. It is the deck we wanted to keep in the car, take on every trip, leave beside the bed, and return to through every season of a relationship.
